JUWI GmbH, based in Wörrstadt, has recently signed contracts with three leading companies in the energy sector for the technical operation, servicing and maintenance of six further battery energy storage systems (BESS). The facilities are currently under construction and are due to be commissioned within the next six months.
For more than five years, the JUWI Group’s O&M experts have been managing battery storage systems in Germany and Belgium. With these newly secured contracts, JUWI is expanding its portfolio of managed battery storage systems to around 700 megawatt-hours of storage capacity.
The new projects are being carried out for three different companies and involve storage capacities ranging from 4 to 100 megawatt-hours. JUWI’s services include technical operations management as well as servicing and maintenance for the first few years of the plants’ operational phase.
The new contracts underscore the growing importance of battery storage systems for a secure and flexible energy supply, as well as market participants’ confidence in JUWI’s long-standing expertise in operations management and service provision.
