Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG (KVB) will be the new tenant at Stolberger Straße 374 in Cologne’s Lindenthal district. The company has leased almost 5,000 m² of office space in the office property and will combine two locations from the west of Cologne in the new branch. With a total of around 4,000 employees, KVB is one of the largest local transport companies in Germany. The property in Stolberger Straße offers more than 9,000 m² of rental space and is located in the Braunsfeld district on the edge of the Cologne Technology Park. The space is being leased by Blackbear Real Estate GmbH on behalf of Coros Management GmbH. Throughout the leasing process, Savills acted as an intermediary and advisor.
“Due to the abandonment of the location in Linnicher Straße, KVB was faced with the challenge of finding sufficiently large and modern premises in the vicinity of the previous branch. With the property in Stolberger Straße, we were able to meet this requirement profile and identify a location that benefits from very good local amenities and public transport connections thanks to its location. KVB’s head office is also within striking distance, which had a positive influence on the leasing decision,” says Danijel Dzerek, Director Office Agency at Savills in Cologne.
“With the lease to KVB, our property gains a strong regional company. The lease underlines the attractiveness of the location and sends a clear signal for the further positive development of the property,” adds Pierre Lechner, Asset Manager at Blackbear Real Estate GmbH.
