Aachener Grundvermögen has acquired a modern social property for assisted living with day care in the new "Wohnen im Klostergarten" district in Laupheim, thus launching a new special fund at the same time. The Aachen Health Real Estate Fund invests primarily in real estate for WohnenPlus and age-appropriate living with service.
The facility "Wohnen im Klostergarten" is located in the southwestern part of the demographically and economically up-and-coming city of Laupheim, in a quiet, mature residential area with good connections to public transport and transport as well as local amenities and cultural offerings. The property includes 28 barrier-free apartments for the elderly, a day care centre with 20 places, a public café, a hairdressing and pedicure practice, guest rooms and areas for an outpatient service. All areas are designed to be barrier-free. The building is part of a sustainable new development district that combines various offers for older people and thus creates an innovative overall concept for living and care. The sustainable hybrid construction, the use of photovoltaics, geothermal energy and its own local heating network ensure a largely energy-self-sufficient and CO₂-neutral supply. The public café on the ground floor promotes social participation and encounters with the neighbourhood.
The facility is operated by the experienced illerSenio (until 2016 "Caritasverein Illertissen e.V."), which will run the house in the long term and also acted as project developer.
