APCOA, a leading provider of parking and smart mobility services, recently announced the appointment of Sean O'Neill as Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO). Sean O'Neill will be a member of APCOA's executive team and will be responsible for the company's product and technology agenda. He will report directly to CEO Nicola Veratelli.
As CPTO, Sean O'Neill will be responsible for executing technology-enabled initiatives that will increase APCOA's existing base of 17 million connected users to more than 35 million in the coming years. This includes the continued development of APCOA FLOW, the company's open digital platform that connects on-street and off-street parking with owners, partners, customers and their vehicles. In addition, he will develop new solutions and digital offerings that support connected mobility ecosystems for customers and consumers in APCOA's markets.
Sean O'Neill has more than 25 years of international leadership experience at some of the world's leading technology and consumer goods companies, including Amazon, Tesco and GfK. Most recently, he served as Chief Product & Technology Officer at Syncron, a global provider of enterprise SaaS solutions. He was responsible for strategy, product development, engineering, data science and offering development. He also co-founded MathFi.ai, an AI-native platform for predictive services.
"Technology is fundamentally changing how parking garages and parking areas are managed, and APCOA has long been at the forefront of this development," says Nicola Veratelli, Chief Executive Officer of APCOA. "In eleven countries, our on-site and mobile technology is making parking easier and improving the user experience for cities, property owners and drivers. Sean's role will be to further accelerate this technological development and continuously improve the digital services that our partners and drivers rely on."
Sean O'Neill adds: "I am very excited to join APCOA. I am convinced that the company is uniquely positioned at the intersection of the physical and digital worlds to help shape the future of urban mobility through technology and innovation. I look forward to working with the team to develop solutions that enhance the customer experience, create value for our partners and support the company's continued growth."
