The renowned piano and piano manufacturer Steinway & Sons is opening a new flagship store in Stuttgart and is moving from Silberburgstraße to Büchsenstraße 15. The new location at Kronprinzplatz will open on September 27, 2025. Colliers arranged the rental exclusively.
The new sales office has around 350 square meters and presents a total of 25 grand pianos and upright pianos, including special models from the Hamburg manufactory. The move is part of an extended concept with more public traffic. In addition to sales premises, the location offers an open workshop that is transparent to visitors. Concert and event programs as well as open-stage events are planned.
"Our goal is to bring the enthusiasm for music closer to the people in Stuttgart and the region. The new store is not only intended to be a sales room, but also a cultural meeting place to experience and try things out. A highlight is our SPIRIO self-playing system, which faithfully reproduces music by well-known pianists or records your own compositions - a unique combination of craftsmanship and technology. We are looking forward to many visitors," says Knut Schiedmayer, Managing Director Retail Stuttgart at Steinway & Sons.
"We have already successfully supported Steinway & Sons in the opening of a pop-up store in Stuttgart and are proud that we have now been able to broker the new long-term location. The city centre location in the pedestrian zone between Kronprinzstraße and Büchsenstraße offers excellent conditions for cultural exchange," says Patricia Karwath, Partner Retail Letting at Colliers in Stuttgart.
