The ROSA-ALSCHER Group has received LEED Gold and DGNB Gold certification for ZAM Life (MK 2.4) in Munich's ZAM district. In addition, the ESG verification in accordance with the EU taxonomy has already been confirmed. This confirms the sustainability quality of the mixed-use ensemble in Munich-Freiham in accordance with national and international standards. LEED evaluates buildings in terms of energy efficiency, use of resources, site connections and interior quality, among other things. The Gold certification thus confirms the holistic sustainability approach that the ROSA-ALSCHER Group is pursuing in the development of ZAM Life.
Living, gastronomy and retail at ZAM Life
ZAM Life forms a central component of the new Freiham district centre in the west of Munich. In total, the ensemble comprises around 30,600 square metres of usable space. Of this, around 10,600 square metres are allocated to gastronomy and retail. The range of apartments is complemented by a diverse mix of apartments for different phases of life and household sizes, ranging from compact apartments from around 22 square metres to spacious family apartments with up to 150 square metres.
ZAM Life is part of ZAM's mixed-use concept. In total, the quarter comprises around 110,000 square metres of rental space and combines living, working, shopping and gastronomy. The direct proximity to the Freiham S-Bahn station and the A99 motorway also ensures convenient connections to Munich's city centre.
Sustainability as a principle of the entire district
ZAM Life's sustainability strategy is part of the overarching district concept. ZAM relies on geothermal energy, district heating and its own photovoltaic systems, among other things. In addition, there is a mobility hub, bicycle parking spaces with charging infrastructure and e-charging stations.
"The LEED and DGNB Gold certifications as well as the confirmed ESG verification according to the EU taxonomy show that we have consistently anchored the sustainability requirements at ZAM Life in planning and implementation. For us, it was crucial to translate these requirements into concrete technical solutions," says Johannes Trüg, Technical Project Manager at the ROSA-ALSCHER Group.
With LEED Gold and DGNB Gold as well as the confirmed ESG verification in accordance with the EU taxonomy, the sustainable positioning of the entire quarter continues. ZAM Spaces has also already been awarded LEED Gold and DGNB Gold.
