“2025: Reset on the real estate markets – What investors can do in the 2nd half of the year”
Courage instead of stagnation: In the first edition of our new fund exchange Private Markets – LiveTALK format, our board member Alex Gadeberg discussed the current situation and prospects on the real estate markets with representatives of the industry.
His clear advice for the second half of the year to investors: “Have courage and become active instead of continuing to sit on the substitutes’ bench.”
Because: the market is moving, and transactions on the secondary market are increasing again. For Alex Gadeberg and us, it is crucial that sellers and buyers alike benefit from the newfound clarity. Uncertainty is fading, transactions are gaining momentum, but challenges such as higher financing costs remain.
The other participants also provided exciting additions:
- Dr. Jan Linsin (Head of Research at CBRE) confirmed a slow but noticeable recovery of the markets and called on investors to courageously seize opportunities before Anglo-Saxon investors take the lead again.
- Prof. Dr. Michael Voigtländer (Cologne Institute for Economic Research) referred to an overall stable economic situation in the service sector and a favorable portfolio argument for real estate.
- Oliver Platt (Partner Real Estate, Finance, Transaction at Kucera Rechtsanwälte) made it clear that banks are increasingly willing to accept discounts in order to restructure non-performing loans – an opportunity for agile investors.
