Chamber of Industry and Commerce moves to the urban quarter with office and academy
Another important tenant has been won for the Lokhöfe quarter, which was recently acquired by Kingstone Real Estate: The Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) for Munich and Upper Bavaria is relocating its location within Rosenheim to the new urban quarter and is renting a total of around 900 m² of space. S&P Commercial Development, a subsidiary of Sontowski & Partner Group, had concluded the lease agreement before the transaction.
The Chamber of Industry and Commerce has rented tailor-made space within the quarter for its different usage requirements: The Chamber of Industry and Commerce Academy is occupying around 410 m² on the ground floor of the building, which also houses the Premier Inn hotel. In addition, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce is renting 472 m² of office space for its office on the 5th floor of the business tower. The space was rented with long terms and options for extension.

“We are looking forward to welcoming entrepreneurs, our customers and guests to our new location in the future. Due to its central location, the IHK will be much more accessible for everyone after the move,” explains IHK branch manager Jens Wucherpfennig.
“We have around 410 square meters at our disposal at the new location for our continuing education courses and seminars,” adds Frank Hämmerlein, head of the Rosenheim Chamber of Industry and Commerce Academy. “The locomotive yards give us new opportunities to offer our broad portfolio of further training courses centrally located and in modern premises.”
“I am pleased about the new office tenant, who will use the property alongside Creditreform, the Federal Institute for Real Estate and other tenants. We are experiencing great demand for the office space,” comments Dr. Tim Schomberg, CEO of KINGSTONE RE.
The expansion of the areas will take place in close coordination with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in the coming weeks. The move is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of this year.
Urban quarter with a diverse mix of uses
In recent years, the Lokhöfe have developed into a lively urban quarter that combines working, education, hotels, retail and services. The approximately 45-metre-high business tower forms the striking entrance to the site and offers high-quality office space in the immediate vicinity of Rosenheim’s train station, the city centre and numerous services and supply facilities.
In addition to the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, well-known users and brands such as Premier Inn, Edeka, the main customs office in Rosenheim, Creditreform, the kbo-Inn-Salzach-Klinikum and other companies are already represented in the locomotive yards. The central location, the good public transport connections and the sustainable district concept make the locomotive yards a sought-after location for a wide variety of uses.
The commercial part of the locomotive yards was developed by S&P Commercial Development and acquired by Kingstone Real Estate at the end of 2025.
