Berlin-based Catella Investment Management GmbH (CIM), together with the KVG platform Catella Real Estate AG (CREAG) and Catella Investment Management Benelux, has acquired the Dutch residential project development "Sea Tower" in Zoetermeer, in the Randstad. The purchase was made for the open-ended real estate public AIF Catella European Residential (CER). The seller is Bakkers I Hommen.
The residential high-rise, which is currently under construction and is around 70 metres high, has 150 modern apartments with a total rental area of around 6,600 m2. With an average of around 44 m2 of living space, the apartments, which are built using modular construction, are geared to the living needs of singles, young professionals and couples in terms of their equipment and size. In addition, around 1,000 m2 of common areas in the form of a roof terrace, a fitness room, a parcel acceptance and a laundromat are available to the tenants. In addition to six car parking spaces, the building has 52 double-storey, secured bicycle racks as well as parking spaces for cargo bikes and e-scooters, including three charging stations. The building also includes administrative areas and a rental office. Construction is scheduled to be completed in November 2026.

By using photovoltaic modules, heat pumps and a heat recovery system, an energy efficiency of at least A++ can be achieved. In addition, the use of environmentally friendly building materials is a central aspect of resource-saving construction. According to Dutch law, 132 residential units are offered in the medium rental segment and 18 units in the independent rental sector.

The centrally located location also offers future residents short distances to a wide range of shopping and dining options.
