The redevelopment of the KÖ Gallery in Düsseldorf has reached another milestone. With Q-Park as the new operator of the parking garage, the parking experience will now be even more digital and convenient.
As part of the ongoing redevelopment of the KÖ Galerie in Düsseldorf, a new operator has now been found for the large car park below the KÖ Galerie in Q-Park, following the recent leasing successes in the commercial sector. Q-Park took over the 800-parking space property, which was extensively modernised in 2023/2024, as of January 2026. In the course of the takeover, the garage will be equipped with modern parking technology and e-charging infrastructure and will also receive a modern orientation system. In addition, the entrances to the garage will be modernized as part of the redevelopment.
"We warmly welcome Q-Park to the KÖ Gallery. Together we will take the parking experience in the KÖ Galerie to the next level. Such operational optimizations are our top priority and contribute to our holistic strategy as an asset and rental manager," says Daniel J. Gedack, Managing Director of Quantum.
"We are pleased to strengthen our presence in Düsseldorf with this parking property in a prime location and to set new standards for smart and digital parking here as well. Our mission is to make parking more convenient, efficient and innovative for customers," says Frank Meyer, Managing Director of Q-Park Operations Germany GmbH & Co. KG.
PIMCO Prime Real Estate is managing the property's long-term strategy and commissioned Quantum in September 2024 with the modernization as well as asset and letting management of KÖ Galerie.
"The redevelopment plans we have developed for the property include the modernization of the office space, high-quality improvements in retail and other measures aimed at increasing sustainability and comfort. The involvement of Q-Park as the operator of the parking facilities will further enhance the positive user experience of the KÖ Galerie and strengthen the long-term resilience of the property in the interests of our investors," says Johannes Boventer, Head of Germany and Austria at PIMCO Prime Real Estate.
Completion of the redevelopment of the KÖ Galerie is planned for the second quarter of 2028.
