The Nordex Group has concluded a new ESG-linked syndicated multi-currency guarantee facility with a total volume of EUR 2.475 billion. The new facility has a maturity of five years and offers improved conditions, including a significant reduction in the financing costs of guarantees.
It provides the company with a significantly larger, more flexible and cost-efficient financing framework for the period from 2026 to 2031. The facility was arranged with the support of three leading international banks: Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft (both bookrunner and facility agent), Intesa Sanpaolo – IMI CIB Division (at the same time Global Coordinator, Bookrunner and Sustainability Coordinator) and UniCredit Bank GmbH (at the same time bookrunner, documentation agent and process coordinating agent). The overall facility is based on commitments from a total of 15 financial institutions. Freshfields acted as legal advisor to the company, while Clifford Chance advised the group of financial institutions.

Guarantee facilities are an important financing instrument in the wind energy industry. They are used, among other things, to provide guarantees in connection with customer projects and to secure the company's other contractual obligations in numerous markets in which the Group operates.
