Sensational inauguration with many celebrities in Munich for one of the most modern and advanced wooden buildings in Germany: The M-Plaza in Munich-Thalkirchen

The M-Plaza is a pioneering office building that sets new standards in terms of sustainability and innovation. On an area of over 45,000 square meters, an office building is being built here in timber construction and made of recycled steel that meets the highest ecological standards. This combination makes the M-Plaza a particularly resource-saving building. Wood, as a renewable raw material, binds CO2 during its growth, while recycled steel significantly reduces the energy consumption and environmental impact of the building. This innovative construction method makes a significant contribution to reducing the ecological footprint.

The M-Plaza impresses not only with its construction and architecture, but also with its unique design and efficiency. Flexible workplaces, energy-efficient systems and intensive green spaces make it an attractive location for companies and their employees.

On each of the approximately 5,000 m² floors, lush green areas and fully automatic, invisible air conditioning systems are realized, ensuring ideal CO2 quantities and temperatures at the workplace. The presence-controlled lighting, air, cooling and heating technology, as well as the company's own geothermal and photovoltaic systems and several large heat pumps, ensure very low ancillary costs and a high ecological contribution in the long term.

"The M-Plaza is a symbol of our decades-long commitment to building ecologically and sustainably. We have already been able to prove this in the M-Quartier Munich, among other places, which has also been awarded the EffizienzHaus40 and LEED platinum. With the M-Plaza as the first construction phase of the new M-Park Munich, we are showing that economic interests and ecological responsibility are compatible," said Michael Gerlich, developer and owner of the FidCap Group Munich.

Only about 10% of office buildings in Germany achieve certification. The two highest certifications LEED Platinum and EffizienzHaus40 as well as WiredScore Platinum are likely to have been achieved by very few buildings in Germany. The M-Plaza is certainly the only one to offer these highest certificates in the combination developed by FidCap with timber construction, recycled steel, geothermal energy, photovoltaics and other sustainability measures.

The office ecosystem in a biophilic design made of wood from regional forests and a skeleton made of recycled steel produced with green electricity extends over seven floors. The workplace of the future has been created that meets the needs of the modern working world. Flexible workspaces that encourage creativity and collaboration, as well as two restaurants, two lounges, a conference center, a high-tech gym with SPA, and lushly landscaped courtyard, floor, and rooftop terraces characterize the M-Plaza.

The M-Park's "own" underground station and bus stop and the direct proximity to the Siemenswerke S-Bahn station ensure a quick connection to the city centre (max. 10 minutes) and the surrounding area of Munich; the Bavarian Regiobahn even runs from the S-Bahn station to Rosenheim or Salzburg. The car-free, green M-Park will also offer around 30,000 m² of green spaces and an extensive range of emission-free mobility (hub with electric cars and bikes, among other things), which will significantly reduce individual traffic.
