The investment and asset manager ALÌTUS Capital Partners GmbH (ALÌTUS) has commissioned LIST BiB Bielefeld GmbH & Co. KG (LIST BiB) as general contractor for the comprehensive revitalization of the main building “KALA” in the Central Campus Darmstadt. The space used by the anchor tenant AB Enzymes is to be developed into a modern work and research site in the coming years.
The approximately 10,000 m² “KALA”, which is part of the building complex with other existing buildings and a multi-storey underground car park, will be extensively modernised by LIST BiB by the beginning of 2027. This will result in high-quality office and laboratory space that is characterised by energy efficiency, user comfort and a high level of attractiveness as a location. Letting will start at the end of the year for KALA’s 1,800 m² of freely available office or laboratory space, which can be used both completely and in up to four sub-units.
In addition to flexible room concepts and a high quality of stay, the KALA impresses with its excellent connections: Darmstadt’s main train station and the city centre are within walking distance, the A5 and A67 motorways are about 8 minutes away by car, so that the journey time to Frankfurt Airport is around 20 minutes.
When revitalizing, ALÌTUS attaches great importance to a high level of sustainability. The aim is to achieve DGNB Gold certification and the implementation of the KfW 55 standard. LIST Eco GmbH & Co. KG will support ALÌTUS and LIST BiB in the implementation.
The subsidiary ALÌTUS Development GmbH is responsible for the implementation of the measures.
