The retail sector is burdened by the weak overall economy

The holiday season has been the best time to get involved with retail
for decades, as a large part of annual sales are now accounted for by the Christmas business. Sales in the German retail sector are expected to end up at around 680 billion euros in 2025; according to estimates by the HDE trade association, more than 18% of this is attributable to the Christmas business (however this is precisely defined).
