New leases and anchor tenant extension strengthen the Marie Curie Campus location
Aroundtown has concluded several new leases at the Marie Curie Campus at Hemmelrather Weg 201 in Leverkusen and, at the same time, secured a long-term lease extension with its anchor tenant. The long-standing main tenant, Biofrontera Bioscience, has extended its lease for approximately 2,000 sqm. In addition, Biofrontera Discovery GmbH has been secured as an independent tenant and signed a long-term lease for approximately 2,000 sqm as well. Previously, the company had been located at the site as a subtenant.
Furthermore, an additional approximately 840 sqm of office, storage, and gastronomy space has been leased to three newly acquired tenants. The new occupants include a photography studio, a limousine service, and a restaurateur, who will provide catering services for tenants on the campus in the future.

Modernization measures already implemented include the installation of a photovoltaic system, ten newly created electric vehicle charging stations, and the refurbishment of the roof. Building 2 of the ensemble, with its solid construction, well-maintained brick façade, and long corporate history, is a strong example of sophisticated 1960s architecture. As one of the few commercial properties in Leverkusen, the Marie Curie Campus features a centrally located, spacious parking area between the buildings with approximately 400 parking spaces. All three buildings have been certified “Good” under BREEAM, the world’s leading method for assessing building sustainability, thereby meeting internationally recognized sustainability standards in building operations.
The commercial property is located in a well-structured business district predominantly used for office, service, and administrative purposes. The location stands out due to its central position within Leverkusen and excellent transport connections via the A1 and A3 motorways. Public transport is accessible via nearby bus and rail connections.
