Trinasolar’s module production facilities in Yiwu and Yancheng have reached an important milestone in the field of responsible supply chain management: They received silver certification according to the “Supply Chain Traceability Standard” of the Solar Stewardship Initiative (SSI). The award confirms that the sites have implemented traceability systems in accordance with SSI requirements.
Trinasolar currently offers traceability as an add-on service to meet the increasing demand from customers for transparency along the supply chain.
The current certification builds on the existing “Silver Level” ESG certification of the two sites in accordance with SSI standards. Both awards underscore the importance of responsible and sustainable business practices across the solar industry.
“Receiving this certification is another crucial step in our efforts to ensure complete traceability of our entire supply chain and shows that we are leading the way in this regard,” said Gonzalo de la Viña, President Trinasolar Europe, Latin America & Caribbean at Trinasolar.
“We already introduced supply chain traceability procedures in 2021 and in 2024 we were one of the first companies to participate in pilot audits for certification according to the SSI Supply Chain Traceability Standard. We are proud that our progress has been verified by an independent body, contributing to greater transparency across the solar value chain,” de la Viña concluded.
