“At this year’s Real Estate Arena in Hanover, the mood has changed slightly: Interest in cooperation and joint project approaches is growing, and the calculation bases of investors and project developers are converging again.
In terms of content, the focus was on three questions in particular: How can approval procedures be accelerated? How can bureaucratic hurdles be reduced? How can building regulations in residential construction be simplified? In addition, the participants discussed intensively how older housing stocks can be revitalized (“Manage to Green”), how leadership in real estate organizations can be effectively designed and how digitization and artificial intelligence can profoundly change corporate structures.
For the second half of the year and 2027, we expect new residential construction projects that should provide fresh impetus. Many companies are using the current phase to adapt their structures to changing market conditions. The Real Estate Arena has shown that the industry is already setting its course for the next phase of growth – even if the framework conditions remain challenging.”
