Engineering and IT, Hydro engineers and ZIV – Center for Integrated Transport Systems have secured a total of around 1,300 square meters at Europaplatz.
Real I.S. AG has re-let around 1,300 square metres of office space in the “ZENTRALBÜRO” in Darmstadt. With FERCHAU – Engineering and IT, Hydro Engineers and the ZIV – Centre for Integrated Transport Systems, three other technology- and engineering-driven companies have opted for the modern office location at Europaplatz 5. The space is currently being expanded specifically for tenants, and occupancy will take place from July or December 2026.
The independent engineering company Hydro-Ingenieure is moving into around 250 square metres on the ground floor of the six-storey building with a direct connection to the inner courtyard. On the first floor, the engineering office for transport and mobility planning ZIV is renting almost 670 square metres, and on the third floor, FERCHAU – Engineering and IT is taking over almost 400 square metres. The leases were accompanied by the rental management of Real I.S. Real Estate Management GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Real I.S. AG. CALEO and Colliers also acted as intermediaries at FERCHAU and ZIV.
“Darmstadt’s office market is characterised by moderate demand, which is currently met with a very wide range of products. In addition to the location, the quality of the space in particular is becoming increasingly important, especially in terms of flexibility and quality of stay for the employees,” says Raphael Rehbronn, Leasing Manager at Real I.S. Real Estate Management GmbH.
The “CENTRAL OFFICE” is centrally located not far from the main train station and in the immediate vicinity of the European Space Operations Center of the Space Agency ESA. The Darmstädter Kreuz junction provides a quick connection to the A67 and A5 motorways.
Real I.S. acquired the approximately 20,000 square metre office complex in the west of Darmstadt at the beginning of 2022 for the institutional “Real I.S. Themenfonds Deutschland II” and comprehensively modernised it from 2024 to 2025. In addition to a renewal of the elevator systems and a new fire protection concept, the property was modernized with a sustainable cooling supply. In 2026, the underground car park will also be upgraded with bicycle parking spaces and e-charging stations for cars. A total of almost 3,000 square metres of flexibly dividable office space is currently still available.
