In Altdorf near Nuremberg, Panattoni is writing a new chapter in regional economic development. The developer for logistics, industrial and commercial real estate has started earthworks for a modern business park. With a total lettable area of around 29,500 square metres, a forward-looking location is being created here – ideally located just a few kilometres from the A3, A6 and A9 motorways.
The flagship project Panattoni Park Altdorf has met with political approval: Mayor Martin Tabor emphasizes: “With numerous projects – from primary schools to the fire brigade to road renovation – we are driving forward the modernization of Altdorf. All the more reason for us to appreciate the partnership-based development of this area, which, with the planned mix of uses, fits well and sustainably into urban development as a further strengthening of our commercial profile.” The Altdorf city council unanimously approved the project.
Bernhard Dotzer, head of the building department, emphasizes: “Altdorf has a wide potential of qualified specialists and, as part of the Nuremberg metropolitan region, offers ideal conditions – and also space – for growth and innovation to companies willing to settle here. The city particularly benefits from its location in Middle Franconia, a region characterized by trade, automotive supply, production and the food industry.”

After the building permit was granted, earthworks for the technical preparation of the property started in the second quarter of 2026. With the start of construction work, the development of the site enters the implementation phase. 25,100 square metres of hall space, 2,060 square metres of office space and 2,390 square metres of mezzanine space are planned, which will be available for rent to interested companies. In addition, the building is being pre-equipped for a photovoltaic system with an output of up to 2.5 megawatt peak – certification according to the DGNB Gold Standard is being sought.
Strategic location and sustainable planning
The Middle Franconian region is an important location at the crossroads of European transport routes, within which the Nuremberg metropolitan region is a central hub in the TEN-T core network corridors Scandinavia-Mediterranean and Rhine-Danube. In addition, Nuremberg is an important location for combined transport. The trimodal freight centre (GVZ) Nuremberg, the largest multifunctional logistics centre in southern Germany, is only 25 to 30 kilometres away from the new Panattoni Park, depending on the route.
