Westbridge Advisory GmbH (Westbridge), one of the leading energy and sustainability consultants for the real estate industry in Europe, has supported the Nieder-Ramstädter Diakonie Foundation (NRD) in the integrated further development of its energy and consumption management. In the course of the realignment of the electricity and gas supply for a real estate portfolio in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate, Westbridge also supported NRD in the long-term reorganization of metering point operations for electricity and natural gas.
The mandate covers a total of 285 metering points, including 224 electricity and 61 gas metering points. The new contract structure runs until 2034 and thus creates a long-term basis for consumption recording in the portfolio. The conversion of the individual properties will take place gradually over the term of the contract.
With the new metering point operation, NRD is adding another operational component to the already realigned energy supply. In the future, it will be able to record its energy consumption more reliably and uniformly. This will make it possible to track consumption more transparently, better classify cost developments and identify further savings potential in the portfolio.
“After the re-awarding of our energy contracts, it was the next logical step for us to also restructure the measurement structures in the long term and across portfolios. Westbridge accompanied the process from the inventory to the coordination of project-specific requirements to the final contract structure. The different types of metering points and migration dates within the portfolio were taken into account. On this basis, a uniform structure is created that makes metering point operation plannable over several years and further strengthens the database for energy management.
