Deka Immobilien has acquired a logistics property at Helsinki Airport. The seller is an institutional investor. The property is to be included in the portfolio of the open-ended real estate fund Deka-ImmobilienEuropa. The purchase price was not disclosed.
The property, which was built in 2022, comprises a lettable area of around 33,000 sqm as well as 167 parking spaces and 24 e-charging stations. It is fully leased on a long-term basis to the Finnish third-party logistics service provider Barona Varastopalvelut Oy. The property is located at the Aviapolis logistics site in Vantaa at Helsinki Airport, the most sought-after logistics location in Finland. As a result, it has very good connections to Ring Road III and the national motorway network.
A photovoltaic system is installed on the roof of the building. A geothermal system supports temperature control in the building. The property has been certified “Excellent” with the British seal of approval for sustainable construction BREEAM.
With this transaction, the fund management of Deka-ImmobilienEuropa has secured a modern core logistics property in a prime location, which is expected to generate stable income for investors in the long term.
