The Werft68 commercial district in Düsseldorf-Holthausen has recorded the next leasing success: Karatas Backwaren GmbH is the first tenant for the “Rheindocks”. The company has leased around 3500 square metres of hall and office space in two rental units in Block A. The lease was concluded for a term of ten years. The handover of the space will take place in mid-September and commissioning is scheduled for Q1 2027.
The first letting in the “Rheindocks” follows the recent leasing successes in the “Loftworks” and marks the next step in the development of the Werft68 commercial district. The conclusion of the contract underlines the attractiveness of the site in Düsseldorf-Holthausen for manufacturing and commercial companies. This is due in particular to the good connection to the national transport network and the location in one of the strongest economic regions in Germany.
The “Rheindocks” are part of the Werft68 commercial district on Reisholzer Werftstraße in Düsseldorf-Holthausen. The newly created hall and office space will enable flexible uses for companies of all sizes and offer modularly structured units from 1200 square metres and office shares from 270 square metres. The space on offer will be supplemented by modern and sustainable building equipment. The concept includes more than 3000 photovoltaic modules, heat pump technology, charging infrastructure for e-mobility and a desired DGNB Gold certification.
“With Karatas Backwaren, we are gaining a company that is an excellent fit for our usage concept. The first lease is an ideal prelude to the new light industrial component of Werft68,” says Jochen Butz, Head of Real Estate Development Light Industrial & Commercial Region Cologne. “The positive development of the commercial district is thus continuing. At the same time, we are already holding further talks with interested parties for the space that is still available,” Jochen Butz continues.
“With Werft68, we have found a location that fits perfectly with our long-term corporate goals. The modern space offers us optimal conditions for our further development. We would like to thank BEOS AG for the professional and cooperative partnership throughout the entire leasing process and look forward to moving into our new location in Düsseldorf,” says Cihat Karatas, Managing Director of Karatas Backwaren GmbH.
The settlement was accompanied by the Düsseldorf Economic Development Corporation as part of a partnership.
