Duolingo Inc., an EdTech company specializing in playful, AI-supported language learning, has moved into an office space of around 460 m² at Rotherstraße 17 in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
The US company, which gained worldwide fame through its language learning app, currently operates six locations in the USA, Germany and China. The new Berlin location is located in LUX Court and is part of the urban quarter LUX Berlin. LUX Berlin, which was once known as the “Lamp City” due to its location on the former site of the Osram light bulb factory, covers a total area of 2,675 m² on Berlin’s Mediaspree and offers around 90,000 m² of office space. The owner of the quarter is Officefirst Real Estate GmbH. Savills acted as an advisor to the tenant throughout the entire brokerage process.
