Düsseldorf’s property market is gaining momentum
The Düsseldorf property market has shown clear signs of recovery since the middle of the year. In the office lettings market, larger space requirements in particular are generating new momentum. High-quality space remains particularly in demand: almost half of the space let so far has been of the highest quality.
Activity in the investment market has also increased noticeably compared with the same period last year. In addition to core products, there is once again selective demand for value-add properties, whilst smaller portfolio sizes remain a key focus for institutional investors and family offices.
For the year as a whole, Colliers expects at least 240,000 square metres of office space to be let and a transaction volume of 1.2 billion euros in the Düsseldorf metropolitan area.
