Ed Siskind, founder and CEO of real estate investment and finance firm Cale Street Partners (CSP), has been appointed Chairman of ULI Europe. Siskind succeeds Anne Kavanagh and takes over the honorary office for a two-year term of office, which officially began on July 1, 2026.
Siskind has been an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) since 2011 and currently serves on the ULI Europe Executive Committee. During his time at ULI, he was also a Global Governing Trustee, a member of the Europe Executive Committee and a member of the Global Exchange Council.
Prior to founding CSP, Siskind spent 23 years in various leadership roles at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in both the UK and the US, including Global Head of the Real Estate Principal Investment Area and Co-Head of European Merchant Bank. CSP was founded in 2014 by Siskind together with the Kuwait Investment Office, the London branch of the Kuwait Investment Authority. Since its founding, the company has raised around $15 billion and offered innovative financing solutions to institutional investors in Europe, the UK and the US.
Ed Siskind is a member of the Advisory Board of Bridges Fund Management and the Investment Committee of the Courtauld Institute. He is also a member of the President’s Roundtable at Princeton University and the Land Economy Advisory Board at the University of Cambridge. He was a member of the board of directors of Harvard University’s Real Estate Academic Initiative and lectured on international real estate economics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from Princeton University with honors in 1988.

The outgoing Chair of ULI Europe, Anne Kavanagh, said: “It has been a great honour and pleasure to serve as Chair of ULI Europe for the past two years and as a member of the Global Board for seven years. In a period of uncertainty for our industry, we have continuously developed the organization to meet the needs and priorities of our members. At the same time, we have aligned our structures more closely with the European and global organization. I am proud of all that our teams have accomplished and will continue to support ULI in the future.
I’m thrilled to pass the baton to an outstanding successor and welcome Ed . He stands out for his vision and commitment to excellence in the real estate industry. He is already an excellent ambassador for the ULI. I look forward to him bringing his leadership and strategic skills to the office of Chairman over the next two years.”

I am very much looking forward to working with Simon and the entire team to help us achieve our mission by making a transformative contribution to the built environment and our communities.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to my predecessor Anne Kavanagh for her tremendous commitment and achievements as Chair of ULI Europe over the past two years. In particular, I would like to thank her leadership at a time of great uncertainty and geopolitical challenges for our industry, as well as her forward-looking planning for the leadership transition. Anne leaves behind an impressive legacy.
Siskind has defined several priorities that will shape his tenure as Chair of ULI Europe. He explains: “My priorities as Chairman will include supporting the new CEO of ULI Europe, Simon Durkin, and guiding him in executing on his vision and priorities for the region. Another focus will be to further expand ULI Europe’s prominent position as a leading platform for sharing best practices among the leading players in the real estate industry, especially at a time when we are all facing significant challenges.
Another important focus is the promotion of talent and the next generation of European leaders in the built environment. I want to engage the experienced leaders in our industry to inspire new talent and promote their development, including through research and education, professional exchange, mentoring and knowledge transfer through ULI’s many programs.
Finally, my goal is to connect the ULI executives in Europe even more closely with our colleagues in the USA and Asia. In doing so, we want to ensure that ULI’s work is closely aligned around the world and further strengthens our global membership organization as an indispensable authority on best practices in the built environment.”
