The working group presents the foundations for a future-proof certification procedure for generation units and storage facilities
On 03.09.2026, FGW e.V. published the final document of the Working Group on Component-Based Unit Certification (AK kEZ). It summarises the concepts and recommendations for action developed for the introduction of a component-based certification procedure for generation units (EZE) and storage facilities and outlines the following core contents:
Early Validation at the Component Level: The component-based process allows for early validation of electrical properties at the component level, including advanced model validation procedures and an adjustment of the verification process.
Future-proof measurement and validation procedure: The developed method integrates better into the development path of new generation units, enables recertification cost-effectively and can be used for all EZE types.
