Planned completion in the fourth quarter of 2026

GreenPlaces Deutschland Asset Management GmbH today celebrated the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for its new commercial location in Aichtal, Baden-Württemberg, together with representatives from business, administration and politics. On the approximately 5,100 square metre site in the “Südliche Riedwiesen” industrial park, 26 modular commercial units are being built, which are particularly suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as start-ups from the trades, services and production. The site at Margarete-Steiff-Straße 7, which has a total of approx. 3,100 square meters of usable space, is scheduled to be ready for occupancy in the fourth quarter of 2026. GreenPlaces is investing around nine million euros in the location.

Founded in Lausanne in 2017, the company develops and operates modular business parks in solid timber construction, which are characterised by a high degree of energy efficiency and flexibility. The two-storey modules each comprise 115 to 124 square metres of usable space and can be purchased individually or rented, but can also be combined into larger units. Each unit is equipped with a large roller door, separate entrance and two outdoor parking spaces. Photovoltaic systems on the roof and heat pumps ensure an energy-efficient supply.

Sebastian Kurz, Mayor of the City of Aichtal, comments: “With the establishment of GreenPlaces, we are creating an ideal breeding ground for local companies in Aichtal. The flexible, modular commercial units promote entrepreneurship and offer creative spaces for innovation and growth. This not only creates new jobs and impulses for our local economy, but also long-term prospects for the entire region. With GreenPlaces, we welcome a strong partner that combines modern commerce, sustainability and economic sustainability.”

Markus Eberhard, Managing Director of GreenPlaces Deutschland Asset Management, adds: “With the development of the ‘Südliche Riedwiesen’, Aichtal is focusing on a sustainable and future-oriented commercial strategy. The concept of GreenPlaces fits perfectly with this. Thanks to the construction method with wood, the energy-efficient heat pump and the photovoltaic system on the roof, ecological aspects are also consistently taken into account.”

Sven Koch, Marketing & Development Manager at GreenPlaces Deutschland Asset Management, adds: “Aichtal in the Stuttgart metropolitan region is noticeably gaining in importance with the new Südliche Riedwiesen industrial park. The location also convinces us with its excellent transport connections. The city can be reached by car via the federal highways 27 and 312 from Stuttgart, Reutlingen and Tübingen in about 25 minutes. Stuttgart Airport and the nearest junctions to the A 8 motorway are about ten kilometres away. These are ideal location conditions for the users.”

GreenPlaces is aimed specifically at craft businesses, small businesses, service providers and creative start-ups. The modular space concept allows for tailor-made use – from workshops and warehouses to offices or showrooms. With the new location in Aichtal, the company is consistently pursuing its strategy: By 2030, the portfolio is to grow to around 70 commercial sites – the majority of them in Germany, with a focus on economically strong regions in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.
