The Hohental Group, a specialist in new construction and energy-efficient residential quarters, has taken over a residential construction project in Osnabrück’s Landwehrviertel and is now taking it into the next phase of development. With the acquisition, Hohental is securing rapid completion, creating 59 houses for rent and positioning the project as an attractive offer for institutional investors and family offices.

The construction project at Glasgowring 1–12 and Bristolring 2–74, 49076 Osnabrück, comprises 49 terraced houses and 10 semi-detached houses with a total living space of around 8,300 square metres. After a long construction standstill, the construction work is now continuing as planned. Completion will take place in three construction phases. The first tenants are expected to be able to move in at the turn of the year 2026/2027.

Quality-assured further development

Before and when the project was taken over, a comprehensive analysis of the building status was carried out by internal and external experts. Construction phases that have already begun will now be continued in a structured manner and technically qualified. The aim is not only to complete the quarter, but also to develop it qualitatively and to raise it to a sustainable, future-proof level.

“We see great potential in this project – both in terms of its location with a wide range of green spaces, social infrastructure, shopping facilities for daily needs, and in the architectural quality of the houses and open spaces. After intensive review, we decided to take over the property in order to complete high-quality and urgently needed living space here,” explains Jens Wadle, Managing Partner of Hohental Plan- und Generalbau GmbH. “Our aim is to create a great home with their own garden for families with or without pets and to offer buyers and investors a long-term valuable product in a dynamically growing urban district.”

Sustainable living in the Landwehrviertel

The project is part of the Landwehrviertel – the largest new development area in Osnabrück since the end of the Second World War. A modern, lively quarter with more than 800 residential units, spacious green spaces and contemporary infrastructure is being built on the former site of the British armed forces.

The planned houses each have a parking space, garden areas and roof terraces. The living areas range from approx. 130 to 155 square metres, the plot sizes from 272 to 495 square metres. All buildings are connected to the district’s own local heating network.
