The Hamburg-based investment, asset and fund manager HT Group is restructuring its management structure: Nina Bornkessel will be promoted to Managing Director of HT Immobilien Management and will also take over the management of Asset Management in this role. On June 1, 2026, she will succeed Claudia Pahl, who is leaving the company by mutual agreement to pursue new professional challenges.
Bornkessel has been Senior Director Fund Management at HT Group since May 2024 and is responsible for fund management, investment management and fiduciary services. In addition, she is the central point of contact for the existing institutional clients of the in-house capital management company (KVG). In her new role, she will also drive the strategic development of asset management. The focus is on identifying value creation potential and the sustainable development of the portfolio.
Andreas Stegmann, CEO of HT Group, explains: “As part of our business strategy, it is consistent to manage the fund and asset management divisions from a single source. With Nina Bornkessel, we are filling this key position from within our own ranks. She combines extensive expertise in fund and asset management with strong leadership experience and a deep understanding of the requirements of institutional investors. At the same time, we would like to thank Claudia Pahl very much for her high level of commitment and her significant contribution to the expansion of our asset management. We wish her all the best for her future professional and private life.”
“I am very happy about the trust and my new task. Our goal is to further increase the performance of the properties under management, to develop future-oriented strategies for our portfolio and to implement them efficiently. In doing so, we will further deepen our proximity to investors and our operational strength in asset management,” adds Nina Bornkessel.
Nina Bornkessel has extensive experience in the real estate industry as well as in leading teams. Prior to that, she spent twelve years in asset and fund management at ECE Marketplaces and ECE Living, most recently as Senior Portfolio Manager. In total, she was responsible for a portfolio with a volume of around EUR 1.5 billion in assets under management.
Bornkessel began her professional career in the German Navy, where she served as an officer for twelve years and most recently held the rank of lieutenant captain. She holds an MBA in International Management from ESB European Business School – Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences and a degree in education from Helmut Schmidt University/University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg.
