INDUSTRIA, a real estate manager from Frankfurt am Main and part of the Becken Group, has promoted Andreas Borchardt (37) to Head of Technical Management. In his role, he is responsible for the strategic and operational management of all technical matters in the company’s real estate portfolio. A special focus of his work is on the management and further development of the technical team of 14 employees.
Among other things, Borchardt is responsible for the strategic planning and management of maintenance, modernization and investment measures. This includes long-term capex planning, technical quality assurance, budget and cost control, and continuous optimization of processes and project flows. In addition, he manages the nationwide network of planners, construction companies and technical service providers and accompanies technical due diligence processes in the context of real estate transactions.
Arnaud Ahlborn, Managing Director of INDUSTRIA Immobilien, says: “Technical issues are becoming increasingly important – especially in residential real estate. The German real estate portfolio is ageing and becoming more sophisticated from a technical point of view. For us, the main challenges are the renovation of existing buildings, the conversion of heating systems to renewable energies and the consistent digital recording of data. In my opinion, these issues will increasingly determine the value retention of a property. With Andreas Borchardt, we are further expanding the technical area organizationally and strategically. He already knows our portfolio and our internal processes very well.”
Andreas Borchardt has been working as Technical Manager at INDUSTRIA since May 2025. The industrial engineering graduate previously worked as a technical property manager at IC Property Services and Apleona Real Estate, among others.
Andreas Borchardt says: “Together with the technical team, I will further develop the quality and efficiency of our technical processes. For me, it is crucial to create clear structures, bundle existing knowledge in the team and support employees in taking on increasing responsibility. At the same time, we want to dovetail technical and economic requirements even more closely in order to implement measures in the portfolio with foresight and efficiency.”
