The IPH Group has won DEICHMANN as a new tenant of around 550 square metres on the ground floor of the “NOC” Nordoberpfalz Center shopping centre in Weiden. As part of a space optimisation programme, Europe’s market leader in shoe retailing is leaving its previous location in the pedestrian zone and will open in April 2026 in the shopping centre and thus in an attractive neighbourhood to TKMaxx, New Yorker, Jack & Jones and Rituals.
“We are looking forward to the opening of our new store, with which we are implementing long-term site optimization. The partnership agreement negotiations with IPH have laid a good foundation for our cooperation in the ‘NOC’,” says Alexander Sohns-Schmidt, Expansion Manager Southern Germany at DEICHMANN.
“With the establishment of the market leader in the shoe sector, the ‘NOC’ closes a gap in the product range in the industry mix and strengthens its positioning as one of the most relevant shopping centres in the region,” says Marco Bachmann, Senior Leasing Manager at IPH.
Since its opening in September 2019, the “NOC” Nordoberpfalz Center has been the central shopping center of the northern Upper Palatinate. With a rental area of around 18,000 square metres and around 50 shops, it is an important location for retail in the region. It is located in a prime location in the heart of Weiden’s city centre and is a popular meeting point for visitors and consumers. In March 2025, IPH took over the mandate for letting, marketing and property management of the shopping centre.
