Yesterday, LBBW Immobilien celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the third and final construction phase of the Parktrio district development on the Rebstock site in Frankfurt’s Bockenheim district. In the presence of representatives of the City of Frankfurt, the client LBBW Immobilien, the executing construction company OBG Rhein-Neckar as well as numerous project participants and other guests, an essential milestone in the residential project was honoured with the completion of the shell construction work. Completion of the Hain park trio is planned for the end of 2026.
Marcus Gwechenberger, Head of the Department of Planning and Housing, emphasises the role of the project for the development of the quarter and residential construction in Frankfurt at the topping-out ceremony: “With the Parktrio Hain, the Parktrio district on the Rebstock site is now complete. In total, the project will create around 420 apartments – an important contribution to creating new living space in a growing city like Frankfurt. At the same time, the development in Rebstock shows how high-quality neighbourhood development can succeed: with a mix of subsidised and privately financed apartments, good architecture, new open spaces and an infrastructure for everyday life. Such projects are only created in close cooperation between the city, private project partners and construction companies. Therefore, my thanks go to all those involved who are advancing this project together.”
The Hain park trio will create 68 rental apartments with two basement floors. The building complements the already completed construction phases Parktrio Mitte (209 apartments, completion 2024) and Parktrio Stadtplatz (143 apartments, completion 2025).
Michael Stapf, Managing Director of LBBW Immobilien Development GmbH, adds: “With the Hain park trio, we are completing a quarter that was intended as a coherent ensemble from the outset. Each construction phase has its own identity – and yet it pursues the common goal of creating a coherent and permanently valuable piece of the city. By opening up to the countryside to the west, Parktrio Hain forms the conclusion of this development and rounds off the overall ensemble architecturally and conceptually.”
Benno Rösch, Managing Director of the executing OBG company from Mannheim, concludes: “The topping-out ceremony marks an important milestone for us. From the very beginning, the cooperation with LBBW Immobilien has been characterised by trust and a common quality standard. Together, we are creating new, modern living space and taking Quartier Parktrio a decisive step forward as planned.”
The Parktrio project stands for urban living in green surroundings. The project site between Angelika-Machinek-Straße and Felix-Kracht-Straße combines very good public transport connections with short distances to the A5 and A66 motorways. In addition to architectural quality, LBBW Immobilien attaches particular importance to sustainability. The aim is to achieve DGNB certification in gold for the quarter. Meanwhile, the development of Park Trio Hain – also in the context of the Mitte and Stadtplatz construction phases, which have already been successfully placed on the investment market – confirms Frankfurt’s continued high attractiveness for institutional investments in residential real estate.
