Measuring is important, but by no means everything – or: a mini-MBA in three steps

It is one of the truisms that we need more data in the real estate industry in order to be able to better achieve our goals or at least draw better-founded conclusions. This is correct. And yet in every rush there is a danger of overinterpretation. From this point of view, I will use several management teachings to show that measuring can lead to serious problems when measurements become simple specifications. This applies to companies, scientists and, of course, politics. So this point of view is a greeting from the MBA kitchen – or a mini-MBA for the afternoon (just without a real degree).
