The JUNiCKE Group, a real estate investor with a focus on logistics, light industrial real estate and corporate settlement, is expanding its commitment to the residential asset class with the purchase of a residential complex in Braunschweig. The seller of the portfolio is the Meravis Real Estate Group. The parties have agreed not to disclose the sale price.
The apartment buildings with a total of 76 residential units and a total lettable area of almost 4,600 m² are located in the immediate vicinity of each other and in the west of Braunschweig. The portfolio is fully let. The quiet residential area with good public transport connections, comprehensive local amenities and proximity to recreational areas makes the units particularly attractive for families and senior citizens.
The purchase was made for the subsidiary JuCo Wohnen of the JUNiCKE Group, which invests in housing in cities and metropolitan regions in northern and central Germany. The portfolio is to be further expanded this year.
Julius Hendrich Junicke, Managing Partner of the JUNiCKE Group, says: "We have taken the opportunity to acquire an attractive portfolio in a good Braunschweig location, which we are now developing with a sense of proportion in order to maintain its value. We are at home in Braunschweig, we know the market inside out and similar purchases are to follow this year."
The transaction was accompanied by JLL and the notary's office Bethge.
