PROXITY has appointed Sofiane Ternifi as Head of Sustainability, strengthening its leadership position in sustainability as the company continues to expand its logistics platform in continental Europe.
Ternifi took over his position on July 1, 2026 and reports directly to Guido Piñol, Chief Executive Officer. His office is in Frankfurt.
In his role, Ternifi is responsible for PROXITY's sustainability strategy across the entire European portfolio. He steers the implementation of sustainability initiatives, supports the company's decarbonisation strategy and ensures that the requirements of investors, tenants and regulators are met. In doing so, he works closely with the asset management, project development and leasing teams to anchor sustainability as an integral part of all business processes. In addition, he is responsible for sustainability reporting and the disclosure of corresponding key figures.
"Sustainability is becoming increasingly important for our customers, investors and other stakeholders. As we continue to expand our platform in Europe, it is crucial to consistently integrate sustainability into the development, operation and management of our properties. Sofiane brings extensive expertise and a convincing track record. I am very pleased to welcome him to PROXITY."
"PROXITY has built a unique platform with a clear focus on operational excellence and long-term value creation. I am very pleased to strengthen the company in this exciting phase of growth and, together with my colleagues across Europe, to anchor sustainability even more firmly in our business and support the changing needs of our customers."
Ternifi is moving from DWS Group to PROXITY. There, he was responsible for sustainability activities in the company's real estate business in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. He has extensive experience in ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, climate risk management and the implementation of sustainability initiatives in large-volume real estate portfolios.
