The Erlangen-based project developer S&P Commercial Development is restructuring its management team on October 1, 2026: Stephan Meier will move up to the management board and will manage the company together with Niklas Kamm. Sven Sontowski will concentrate on his duties as managing partner of the Sontowski & Partner Group in the future.
Stephan Meier has more than two decades of experience in real estate and project development. Since 2021, he has been head of project development at S&P Commercial Development and in this role was responsible for the development and implementation of numerous projects. Since the company was founded in 2017, he has been part of the management team as an authorized signatory. Previously, Meier held various responsible positions in commercial project development at Sontowski & Partner Group, including a focus on the retail segment. He began his career in the group 22 years ago with an apprenticeship in the real estate and housing industry and a subsequent dual study program at the Deutsche Immobilien Akademie (DIA) in Freiburg.

As Managing Director, Stephan Meier will be responsible for the overall management of project development. Niklas Kamm will continue to be responsible for managing business development and strategy as well as financing.
Stephan Meier says: "I am looking forward to taking on even more responsibility as Managing Director in the future. In the coming years, we will focus on residential construction, also in combination with basic retail. We see very good opportunities in the market for these types and combinations of uses, and I am pleased to be able to contribute my many years of retail expertise to this. At the same time, we will continue to expand the successful Service Development division as a further pillar. We have an experienced team with whom we will consistently implement this course and get new projects off the ground."
Sven Sontowski co-founded S&P Commercial Development in 2017 and has since helped build up the company as managing partner. In spring 2026, he acquired shares in Sontowski & Partner Group, so that he has also been working for S&P Holding as managing partner since then. In the course of the personnel change at S&P Commercial Development, he is now focusing on his expanded entrepreneurial responsibility in the family-owned company Sontowski & Partner. He will continue to support S&P Commercial Development as a shareholder with his experience and network: "I am convinced that S&P Commercial Development is in an excellent position with the new management and I am looking forward to continuing to support the company in my new role.
