Long-standing collaboration enters its next phase: Panattoni becomes a partner of Borussia Dortmund
Panattoni and Borussia Dortmund are further expanding their successful partnership. Following two years as a sponsorship partner of Borussia Dortmund and a member of the Bundesliga club’s BVB Business Network, both parties have signed a new agreement for a further three years. As part of the contract extension, Panattoni is stepping up its commitment and has been elevated to the status of a partner of Borussia Dortmund.
The new contract marks the next milestone in a relationship that extends far beyond the past two seasons. Panattoni and BVB have been united for many years by their shared commitment to football, the promotion of young talent and community development.
Since 2018, Panattoni has been supporting the children’s and youth football academy in Goczałkowice-Zdrój, Poland, founded by BVB legend Łukasz Piszczek. Today, the BVB Łukasz Piszczek Academy ranks among the leading football academies in the region and offers young talents excellent conditions for their sporting and personal development.
Thanks to Panattoni’s long-term support, the academy has been able to continuously expand its programme and create modern training facilities. This close connection is also reflected in the name of the sports venue: the Panattoni Arena.
Building on this foundation, the partnership between Panattoni and Borussia Dortmund began two years ago. Since then, the company has successfully utilised this collaboration to further expand its visibility and network in Germany and across the entire DACH region.
With this new agreement, the partnership is now being significantly strengthened. By becoming a partner, Panattoni will gain an even stronger presence within the Borussia Dortmund ecosystem in future.
Robert Dobrzycki, CEO and co-owner of Panattoni:
“Extending our partnership with Borussia Dortmund and taking it to the next level is a logical step for us in a relationship that has grown over many years. What began with our support for Łukasz Piszczek’s academy in Poland has developed into a strong partnership with one of Europe’s best-known football clubs.”
Following two successful years of direct collaboration with BVB, we are delighted to be continuing our partnership for a further three years and to be expanding our role as a partner.
“Panattoni and Borussia Dortmund share core values: ambition, international appeal, strong regional roots and, above all, a focus on long-term relationships. We look forward to developing this partnership further and creating new value for our customers, partners, employees and the wider football community.”
The partnership continues to provide Panattoni with a strong platform for engaging with Borussia Dortmund’s extensive business and fan networks. As a partner, the company will integrate the collaboration even more closely into its marketing, communications and networking activities in future.
Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni DACH & Nordics:
“Borussia Dortmund stands for passion, team spirit and the drive to make a difference. These are values that also shape Panattoni’s approach to working with clients, partners and staff. This shared ethos unites us – both on and off the pitch. We are therefore delighted that we are now continuing our journey together for a further three years and will be working even more closely together as partners.”
Carsten Cramer, Chairman of the Executive Board at Borussia Dortmund:
“Panattoni has been a committed partner of Borussia Dortmund for two years. However, the link with BVB goes back much further and is based on the long-standing support provided to the BVB Łukasz Piszczek Academy in Poland.”
We are therefore all the more delighted that Panattoni has not only extended our partnership for a further three years, but is also significantly expanding its commitment as a partner. This is a strong sign of mutual trust and provides an excellent foundation for the next chapter of our partnership.”
For Panattoni, the partnership also underlines the company’s strong market presence in Germany and Europe. The alliance between one of Europe’s leading brands in industrial and logistics property and one of the world’s best-known football clubs offers both partners the opportunity to link their networks whilst providing long-term support for football and the development of young talent.
The contract extension thus continues the success story of a collaboration that began in 2018 with a local youth development project in Poland, developed into a direct partnership with Borussia Dortmund, and will now continue as a partnership for at least another three years – this time with Panattoni as BVB’s partner.
