Perigus Energy will be exhibiting at WindEnergy Hamburg for the first time this year. At the leading international trade fair in Hall A2, the company will provide insights into its growing European portfolio of onshore wind energy, solar energy and battery storage as well as its further plans for the core markets of Germany, Ireland, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Kieran White, CEO of Perigus Energy, addressed current challenges in his statement on the Energy Storage Stage of the wind trade fair: “In all four markets in which we operate, the political framework for the further expansion of renewable energies is currently increasingly volatile. The growing uncertainty cannot be ignored: For long-term investment decisions, it is a risk that we must now resolutely counter.”
White therefore appealed to politicians, regulators and grid operators to support long-term investments through reliable decisions. At the same time, the industry must also clearly show which regulatory requirements delay or make new projects more expensive. Ideas alone are not enough – their implementation is crucial, according to the CEO.
He stressed that onshore renewables continue to play a central role in Europe’s energy security and competitiveness. They can be implemented faster and more cost-effectively than other forms of new electricity generation and are less susceptible to disruptions due to their decentralised structure.
Perigus Energy was created in May 2026 as part of the acquisition by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) through its flagship fund CI V. The company has an installed capacity of 668 MW across Europe. A further 160 MW are in an advanced construction phase. For projects with an additional 200 MW of capacity, the final investment decisions are to be made by the end of 2026.
Since the launch of the new brand, Perigus Energy has achieved important project milestones. In August 2026, the Garreenleen solar park in Ireland started operation with a capacity of 81 MW. Since the beginning of September, the Sötern wildlife park PV plant has also been feeding renewable electricity into the grid. The elevated solar park in Sötern, Saarland, is the first large-scale ground-mounted solar plant in a fallow deer gate in Germany.
