The Centralis Immobilien Group announces the start of construction of its project development at Lüneburger Straße 5 in Hamburg-Harburg. On the 700 square metre site, Limehome is expected to operate a total of 88 modern serviced apartments from Q3 2027.
The project comprises a total of 3,100 square metres of rental space. The accommodations each offer between 20 and 35 square meters of space, plus a restaurant/shop area on the ground floor.
The original plans for the use of the site for serviced apartments date back to 2018 and had been presented by another investor at the time. Centralis took over the project in 2024 and consistently pushed it forward in an adapted form with construction partner August Prien. The successful start of construction is the latest successful milestone.
The micro-location of the property in the south of Hamburg is attractive. The transport connections are very convenient, so the Harburg-Rathaus S-Bahn station is only a four-minute walk away. In the immediate vicinity there are also green spaces, various local amenities including the Phönix-Center Hamburg shopping center and cultural institutions such as the Archaeological Museum Hamburg.
Comments on the start of construction
Dr. Fabian Vieregge, CEO of Centralis:
"In addition to our recent acquisition successes, it is just as important for us to demonstrate our implementation strength in practice on the construction side. The project in Hamburg-Harburg is a very good example of how we are making rapid progress alongside our partners as usual and realising modern, sustainable hospitality spaces on site. We are also happy to take on stalled projects and bring them to a successful conclusion – for the benefit of the municipality, the residents, the operators and our investors."
Matthias Maas, Vice President Expansion DACH+ & BeNeLux at Limehome:
"We are pleased to be able to work together to create a contemporary hospitality offering in Hamburg-Harburg. It is already our fifth joint project with Centralis in less than three years. Especially in project development, well-rehearsed cooperation is important in order to plan locations precisely from the outset. Thanks to our experience in more than 160 European cities, we as an operator know exactly what is important in complex hospitality projects."
