Qualitas Energy, a leading global investment and management platform with a focus on the financing and development of renewable energies, energy transition and sustainable infrastructure, has been awarded three onshore wind projects in the May tender. With a total capacity of 113.2 MW, the company is continuing its continuous expansion in the German wind market.
The three projects in Rhineland-Palatinate and Lower Saxony comprise a total of 16 wind turbines. Once commissioned, they will generate enough renewable electricity to supply around 75,000 households. In this way, Qualitas Energy is making an important contribution to regional decarbonization and to Germany’s national climate targets.
The tender round was once again characterized by high competition. With a tendered volume of 2,495 MW, a total of 628 bids with a total volume of 6,409 MW were submitted, which is more than two and a half times the available capacity. The Federal Network Agency awarded the contract to 270 bids with a total volume of 2,499 MW. The successful bids ranged from 4.44 ct/kWh to 5.19 ct/kWh, with a volume-weighted average award value of 5.06 ct/kWh.
