The holistic energy service provider BOREAS is strengthening its management team. Alexander Kunsch (51) will become one of the managing directors of BOREAS Energie GmbH on 1 July 2026 and complement the existing management team. Kunsch, a trained businessman and graduate civil engineer, has been working for the BOREAS Group for several years and has more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. Since 2002, he has been involved in the planning and turnkey construction of wind and photovoltaic projects in the German and European markets.
“Alexander Kunsch brings market experience, leadership skills and a deep understanding of renewable energies – a combination that is more important than ever for the implementation of our project pipeline against the backdrop of the current challenges in the energy market. Together with our strong team, he will set new impulses for the coming years,” company founder and managing director Jörg Kuntzsch is convinced.
“I am very much looking forward to taking on more responsibility at BOREAS and to further developing the BOREAS Group together with many committed people in a future-proof and fast-growing way,” explains Alexander Kunsch.
Also on 1 July 2026, Uwe Berg, who has held the position of Commercial Director since 2009, will relinquish his position as Managing Director at his own request and devote himself to other tasks in the BOREAS Group in the future.
