Rhine-Ruhr: Major deals shape the logistics market
In the first half of 2026, the Rhine-Ruhr logistics real estate market is one of the most dynamic regions in Germany. A high number of large-scale deals led to significant growth in take-up. At the same time, the region continues to gain in attractiveness for international users – especially for companies from Asia that benefit specifically from existing location clusters.
With additional new construction space and continued high development activity on brownfield sites, the market impulses are likely to continue in the course of the year. At the same time, the Ruhr region is continuing to move closer to the rent level of the established top markets of Cologne and Düsseldorf.
