Three new construction projects, three districts, one common goal: STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH is expanding its range of affordable housing in Berlin. In Spandau, Lichtenberg and Friedrichshain, important construction stages have been reached these days – from the groundbreaking ceremony to the topping-out ceremony to the laying of the foundation stone. In total, 366 new rental apartments will be built, 359 of which will be publicly subsidized. The projects are implemented by private partners and taken over by STADT UND LAND after completion.
In this way, STADT UND LAND relies on various forms of cooperation in order to secure subsidized housing at an early stage and make it permanently available to the Berlin housing market.
Spandau: Groundbreaking ceremony for 63 subsidized apartments in Schönwalder Straße
At Schönwalder Straße 57 in Berlin-Spandau, the construction of 63 subsidized rental apartments began with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony. The project is being implemented by Blackshore GmbH together with the Trockland Group; STADT UND LAND acquires the residential project on a turnkey basis and takes it over in its portfolio after completion. Barrier-free and eligible apartments with 1 to 5 rooms are being built on a total rental area of around 4,132 square metres. According to the current status, completion is planned for summer 2027.
A special focus is on small and medium-sized apartment sizes: More than half of the apartments are to be built as 1- and 2-room apartments. In this way, the project creates additional, permanently bound living space in the district of Spandau and offers prospects for different target groups, including in the context of employee housing.
Lichtenberg/Karlshorst: Topping-out ceremony for 234 new rental apartments
In Berlin-Karlshorst, the topping-out ceremony for a new housing project at Walkürenstraße 18–21 and Wallensteinstraße 51–56 was celebrated. INTER STADT AG is building the project as the property developer; STADT UND LAND will take over the project in its portfolio after turnkey completion. A total of 234 rental apartments are being built, 230 of which are publicly subsidized.
159 apartments are intended for households with WBS 220 and are therefore also accessible to people with medium incomes. 1- to 5-room apartments with apartment sizes between 34 and 99 square meters are planned. According to the current status, completion and readiness for occupancy are scheduled for the end of 2027. The project complements the existing commitment of STADT UND LAND in the district of Lichtenberg.
Friedrichshain: Laying of the foundation stone for 69 rental apartments and local amenities
The foundation stone for a new residential and retail project has been laid at Weinstraße 9 in Berlin-Friedrichshain. On an area of around 3,200 square metres, 69 new rental apartments with around 4,698 square metres of living space are being built, 66 of which are subsidised apartments with around 4,471 square metres of living space. The project is complemented by a modern ALDI store with around 1,400 square meters of space.
The project will be implemented by Kondor Wessels Bouw Berlin and will be taken over by STADT UND LAND after completion. 36 two-room, 23 three-room and 10 four-room apartments are planned. According to the current status, completion is planned for the first quarter of 2028. The project will create additional living space in a central location and at the same time close to home.
