Investment bank Stifel has announced that Alex Masters, formerly at Lincoln International, has joined its investment banking team as Managing Director & Co-Head of Stifel’s European Consumer franchise, based in London. He will advise on transactions in the consumer sector, drawing on his expertise across the food, beverage and pet food industries.
Alex brings more than 25 years of sector-focused, global investment banking experience, advising corporates, private equity houses, owners and family offices on cross-border and domestic deals spanning the US, UK, Europe, Asia and Africa. He has worked across a broad spectrum of deal types, including buyside and sellside, leveraged buy-outs, the sale of private equity-owned assets, and debt and equity raising.
During his tenure at Lincoln, Alex was Co-head of Consumer, Europe, where he grew the firm’s European Consumer Corporate Finance practice across Europe. Alex also spent 13 years at Rothschild. He was primarily based in London and was a senior member of the Global Consumer team. He relocated to Singapore for three years to set up Rothschild’s Asian Consumer & Retail practice.
Alex holds an M.A. in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PWC.
