Deutsche WindGuard Systems GmbH is expanding its asset management system WONDER with the AI-supported digital assistant wonBOT. Users ask questions in natural language directly in the platform and receive relevant information about the operational management of their renewable energy portfolio in real time – intuitively and without time-consuming search and navigation. Deutsche WindGuard will be presenting wonBOT at WindEnergy Hamburg from September 22 to 25 at its booth A1|221.
“With wonBOT, we are integrating a smart dialogue function into WONDER,” says Falko Feßer, Managing Director Deutsche WindGuard Systems. “In this way, we are combining the possibilities of artificial intelligence with the requirements of professional operations management in a practical way and integrating them seamlessly into existing structures.”
wonBOT answers specific questions about the portfolio, investments and master data. The contents of the life cycle file – such as information on maintenance, measures or historical events – can also be retrieved in a targeted manner. The assistant also processes complex filter and time queries. For example, it can determine which maintenance measures were carried out on a selected system in a certain period of time. wonBOT presents the results clearly and contextually.
The solution is consistently oriented towards the requirements of plant managers, operators and asset managers. The software developers from Berlin benefit directly from the experience gained from the technical operations management of the Deutsche WindGuard Group in Varel. Feedback from daily use is continuously incorporated into the further development of WONDER and wonBOT.
“For my team, wonBOT means a considerable relief in their day-to-day work and thus a significant gain in time,” explains Nicolas Kluth, Head of Technical Management Deutsche WindGuard. “Until now, we often had to gather information from different areas before we could start with the technical assessment. wonBOT provides the relevant information directly to our question. This reduces research work, saves noticeably time and allows us to get started with technical work more quickly.”
wonBOT processes the data securely within its own infrastructure and does not pass on any information to external systems. The assistant is directly integrated into the authorization and client structure of WONDER. This means that users only receive information for which they have appropriate access rights.
With wonBOT, Deutsche WindGuard Systems is consistently continuing the further development of WONDER. The modular wind farm management system supports operators, operators and asset managers in managing their portfolios transparently and making well-founded decisions for long-term turbine operation.
