The real estate developer Livory has awarded the general contractor contract for the residential construction project in Schönensche Straße in Berlin’s Pankow district to Schrobsdorff Bau Aktiengesellschaft.
Schrobsdorff Bau AG has prevailed in a tender for the realization of the project. Livory was thus able to win over an experienced traditional Berlin company for the implementation of the residential construction project.
A total of 140 modern rental apartments with a living space of around 7,140 m² are being built on the approximately 2,600 m² site. Seven above-ground floors including the ground floor and an additional three-storey garden house are planned. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028.
Preparatory measures for clearing the construction site, including necessary tree felling work, have already been implemented. With the demolition of the existing buildings, the next phase of project implementation will begin in March 2026.
“By awarding the contract to Schrobsdorff Bau AG, we are creating the basis for a planned and high-quality implementation of our project in Schönensche Straße. We are pleased to now enter the implementation phase and create urgently needed living space for Berlin,” says Simon Hübner, Managing Director – Development, Finance & Operations at Livory.
The buildings will be constructed to the Efficiency House 40 standard. DGNB Gold certification is planned for the front building; the corresponding sustainability requirements are implemented in both buildings. The heat supply is fossil-free via air heat pumps, supplemented by photovoltaic systems, green roofs and a rainwater management system.
