Panattoni has fully let Panattoni Park Mainz Süd before its official completion in August. The sole user of the approximately 9,400 m² logistics, office and mezzanine space will be Coating Concepts GmbH, a specialist in the refinement of high-quality carbon components. The company will process components for well-known automobile manufacturers at the site.
Coating Concepts will take over the space at the end of August and will create around 140 new jobs on site. The decisive factor in the location decision was the flexibly usable space, which can be adapted to the requirements of the specific production processes. In addition, the hall areas are equipped with WGK-III foil and thus meet the requirements of water hazard class III. In addition, the convenient location of the property offers optimal conditions for the efficient delivery of the finished products. Due to its close proximity to the A63 and A61 motorways, Panattoni Park Mainz Süd is very well connected to the conurbations of Mainz, Frankfurt and Mannheim as well as to the German and international logistics network.

For the user, renting marks an important development step. Janina Radovic, Managing Director of Coating Concepts GmbH, comments: “The new property creates ideal conditions for our further growth. It offers us the necessary flexibility for our specialized production processes and enables us to expand our capacities in a targeted and sustainable manner.”
Panattoni Park Mainz Süd is aiming for DGNB Gold certification. Other sustainability measures include a photovoltaic system on all roof surfaces, a fossil-free heat supply by means of a heat pump, rainwater harvesting and charging infrastructure for electromobility. The photovoltaic system will generate up to around 896,000 kilowatt hours of electricity annually – mathematically enough for the annual demand of around 180 households.

The project creates new jobs, strengthens the business location and shows that economic development, sustainability and the respectful treatment of local conditions can be successfully combined.”
The project development faced particular challenges due to archaeological finds. In close coordination with the Mainz State Archaeology, the necessary protective measures were integrated into the construction process in order to preserve the past and at the same time promote the development of the area.
