Alterric has increased its existing syndicated green loan from €300 million to €350 million. Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) has joined the existing banking consortium of Commerzbank and ING as a further financing partner and is taking over the additional volume of 50 million euros. The unsecured credit facility, which was concluded in December 2025, has a term of three years with extension options of up to two years.
The aim of the increase is to align the financial framework with the volume of the company’s project pipeline. In the most recent round of tenders for onshore wind energy from the Federal Network Agency alone, Alterric secured contracts for six locations with a total capacity of 242 megawatts. The company’s entire pipeline includes projects with a volume of around 11,000 megawatts. At the same time, the company is developing existing sites into integrated energy parks by combining wind power, photovoltaics and battery storage systems. The extended credit line strengthens the financial room for manoeuvre for the further implementation of these projects.
Ingmar Schmitt, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Alterric: “With the increase to EUR 350 million, we are aligning our financing framework with our current project pipeline. The accession of Crédit Agricole CIB as a further partner in the banking consortium and the trust of the entire banking consortium confirm Alterric’s implementation strength. We are thus strengthening our role in the sustainable transformation of the energy industry in Germany and Europe.”
