Cabinet decision on EEG amendment and grid connection package: Alterric warns of serious setback for Germany as an industrial location

The German government has adopted the 2027 amendment to the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) and the grid connection package in the cabinet. Alterric criticizes higher costs, uncertainty and investment risks and calls for improvements in the Bundestag. The company assesses facilitations for co-location positively.

Alterric secures contract for all submitted projects with a total of 242 MW of installed capacity in the EEG tender

Alterric was awarded the contract for all six submitted projects in the May tender of the Federal Network Agency for onshore wind energy – a total of 242 MW in five federal states. The wind farms are scheduled to be connected to the grid in 2028, and some projects are being developed with partners.

Alterric brings first battery storage system to the grid and strengthens its role as a system player

Alterric has put its first battery storage system into operation at the Oslebshausen wind farm near Bremen. The 2-megawatt storage system smooths the feed-in and reacts quickly to grid requirements. Six other projects over 100 MWh are being implemented, two are already under construction.
