Historic Badischer Hof reopens following reconstruction and refurbishment as part of the Leonardo Limited Edition collection
Aroundtown has transformed Badischer Hof – Leonardo Limited Edition in Baden-Baden into a modern hotel through an extensive reconstruction, combining the property’s rich heritage with contemporary comfort. Since reopening in the beginning of July 2026, the hotel has been operated by Leonardo Hotels as part of the Leonardo Limited Edition, a collection of carefully selected hotels distinguished by their individual character, rich heritage, and exceptional standards of design and hospitality. The 20-year lease agreement reflects a long-term commitment to preserving one of Baden-Baden’s landmark hotels while ensuring its sustainable future.
Badischer Hof has long been one of Baden-Baden’s most distinguished hotels and is deeply rooted in the city’s history. As part of the reconstruction, all public areas were comprehensively redesigned while preserving the building’s historic fabric and architectural identity. At the center of the hotel is the striking staircase hall with its distinctive timber columns, which remains the defining architectural feature of the property and seamlessly connects its historic spaces with newly created guest areas. The bar and Cigar Lounge, together with a forthcoming teatime offering in the grand staircase hall, provide elegant spaces for both hotel guests and external visitors.
Inspired by the charm of classic French bistros, the hotel’s restaurant, La Fontaine, offers a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere, with light-filled interiors overlooking the iconic Dreischalenbrunnen fountain and a sunny terrace for outdoor dining. The newly designed guestrooms and premium suites feature a calm, contemporary aesthetic.
Further historic elements such as the spa have been thoughtfully incorporated into the overall concept. Today, the hotel offers a modern wellness area with indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, treatment rooms, and landscaped gardens. A newly created fitness center equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and on-site underground parking further enhance the guest experience.
The house is the first hotel in Aroundtown’s German portfolio to be operated by Leonardo Hotels, building on the successful partnership between the two companies in the United Kingdom.
